Delays in processing of Youth Allowance payments is leaving rural and regional students scraping to find the funds needed to begin their studies, the opposition says.
Liberal MP Sharman Stone said Centrelink was taking at least 45 days to process Youth Allowance applications when it normally takes about 21 days.
